London Scottish succumbed to another defeat on the road in the RFU Championship, as their hosts Bristol turned on the style in the second half to run out 43-16 winners.

Scottish put up a strong first half display and were arguably the better side going into the half time break. After an early Bristol try from George Watkins, James Love followed up his excellent game against Moseley by displaying more excellent goal-kicking before a well-worked try from former Bristol boy Andy Reay had helped Scottish into the lead.

Bristol levelled the scores just before the break however, through the boot of Adrian Jarvis and the 16-16 half time score as as good as it got for Scottish.

Bristol came out firing in the second half and scored a further four tries, three of which were from debutant Alafoti Faosiliva. The Samoan back rower scored a hat-trick comprised entirely of close-range finishes as the Bristol pack exerted a strong influence.

Luke Eves crossed in the dying stages of the match to make it 43-16, a scoreline that perhaps didn't fully reflect the efforts of the Scottish side in the first half.

The RFU Championship now takes a break until the weekend before Christmas as the B&I Cup returns. London Scottish's next match is at home to Llanelli at 2.30pm on Sunday 9th December. Book your tickets here.
