BUCS prop Eveleigh joins from Leeds Beckett

BUCS prop Eveleigh joins from Leeds Beckett
Leeds Beckett University prop Ryan Eveleigh will join London Scottish for the 2019/20 season, the Club is pleased to announce.
Eveleigh is the second prop to join the Scots next season from Leeds Beckett University following the signing of Xavier Valentine.
Eveleigh comes with a big pedigree after playing four years with the leading university rugby side and was included in the BUCS Team of the Year last year. Eveleigh was also formerly part of the Northampton Saints Academy.
The prop was also an influential part of Leeds Beckett’s remarkable journey to the BUCS Super Rugby Final at Twickenham Stadium this season where they narrowly lost out to a strong Hartpury side.
The young prop was pleased to be joining the exiles and getting back into a professional environment.
“It is a fantastic opportunity for me to be a part of London Scottish. Following four seasons at Leeds Beckett University and being announced in last season’s BUCS Super Rugby Team of the Year, it is exciting to return to a professional club environment where my last experience at Northampton Saints Academy” said Eveleigh.
He continued, “I am looking forward to meeting up with the team in preseason and getting stuck into the hard work. It’s also always nice to have a few familiar faces in the squad.”
Head Coach Graham Steadman was excited that Ryan has signed for the Club.
“Ryan is an exciting talent and has shown consistently at Leeds Beckett what a good player he is. We are excited to help him develop next season in our environment.”
