Legendary back rower and Hall of Famer Mark Bright will bring up his 150th appearance for the Club this Saturday in the weekend’s massive derby against Richmond.

Bright returned to the Scots for his second spell with the Club last summer after playing two seasons at Ealing Trailfinders where he reached 50 caps and won the British & Irish Cup last season for the side on the other side of Kew Bridge.

During Bright’s first spell at The Athletic Ground, he was a formidable force from number eight and was one of the most valuable players in the league being named in the Championship Dream Team. Over five seasons, Bright amassed 123 appearances scoring a remarkable 407 points. In the 2014/15 season the native Kiwi bagged himself 28 tries meaning he was the top scorer in the whole league.

Many London Scottish supporters will remember Bright leading out the Scots during his time at the RAG and have very fond memories of some of his performances, we have been very lucky to welcome him back this season and see him in full flow once again at for Scottish.

It is a remarkable achievement to play 150 games for a club in this current era and for Bright to do so week in week out at a top level is truly extraordinary.

Bright said of his achievement, “playing 150 games for London Scottish means a hell of a lot to me and I would like to thank the sponsors, supporters, players and staff for getting me to this milestone.”

Bright continued, “I think the biggest thanks has to go to my wife Angela for all her support and looking after our three sons while I get to run around doing what I love on a rugby pitch.”
