Scottish hoping to end fixture block with a win

London Scottish are looking to get their second win on the bounce as they conclude the first block of Greene King IPA Championship fixtures this weekend before the Championship Cup takes over.

Last weekend the exiles beat Yorkshire Carnegie 17-5 at Emerald Headingley, securing their second away win of the season and will be hoping to get their second win at The Athletic Ground as they welcome Doncaster Knights.

Only two changes have been made to the starting XV with Ollie Dawe, on dual-registration from Bristol Bears, replacing Jordan Brodley at loosehead and Richie Vernon coming in at 12 to replace Henari Veratau who has a back problem picked up against Carnegie.

Ollie Dawe partners Jared Saunders and Richard Palframan in the front row with Phil Cringle returning on the bench after missing out last weekend. Billy Harding is unavailable through injury so Pete Austin comes in among the replacements. Jonny Harris and Tom Smallbone are still unavailable through injury and Dino Waldren misses out after returning last weekend up in Yorkshire.

The rest of the pack is unchanged yet again for the seventh straight game. Byron Hodge and Tjiuee Uanivi are in the engine room and again it’s a formidable back row of James Tyas, Lewis Wynne and Mark Bright.

It’s a familiar backline with Grayson Hart and Jacob Perry as the half backs. Rory Jennings continues his suspension and is unavailable until late November.

Scotland international Richie Vernon returns at inside centre and will partner Matt Williams. The rest of the backline is unchanged from Yorkshire Carnegie. Miles Mantella starts on the right wing after coming in for Charlie Ingall who pulled out late last weekend through illness. Rob Stevenson is on the left wing and Joe Luca Smith is at full back.
