Team News: Scottish aiming to kickstart season versus Reds

Jersey Reds are the visitors to The Athletic Ground this weekend as London Scottish look to get their first win of the new Greene King IPA Championship season.

After a frustrating first three rounds of the season, the Exiles are looking for a full 80 minute performance which has escaped them thus far this season.

Head Coach Nic Rouse has changed a few players after the slow first half performance last Friday against Nottingham and has selected new loan signing Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi at loosehead.

Hobbs-Awoyemi arrives from fellow Championship outfit London Irish and was part of the same successful England Under 20 side as fellow London Scottish prop Tom Smallbone.

Hobbs-Awoyemi joins Pete Austin at hooker and the returning Richard Palframan who replaces Phil Cringle at tighthead. Tom Smallbone is named on the bench for the first time this season after making his summer move from London Irish.

The second row remains unchanged for the fourth straight game of the season as Byron Hodge and Tjiuee Uanivi are both named. The back row also doesn’t change from last weekend’s loss to Nottingham as James Tyas, Lewis Wynne and captain Mark Bright all start.

Ed Hoadley comes in for Grayson Hart who slides down onto the bench. Rory Jennings shifts back into fly half as he is joined by Ben Mosses and Richie Vernon in the centres. The back three is unchanged from Lady Bay with Rob Stevenson, Charlie Ingall and Joe Luca Smith all keeping their starting berths.
