Last season’s Players Player & Coaches Player of the Season Joe Atkinson will make his Gallagher Premiership debut for new club Wasps tomorrow.

Wasps head to Sixways Stadium to take on Worcester Warriors tomorrow and Atkinson is named to start at openside flanker. He joins England international Nathan Hughes and South African revelation Nizaam Carr in the back row.

Atkinson had a stand out year last year for the Scots, playing 25 times scoring five tries along the way. The former Cornish Pirate and Loughborough Student brought up his 50th appearance for the Scots in last season’s final game of the season away at Yorkshire Carnegie.

After two very strong seasons at The Athletic Ground, Atkinson was snapped by the Top 4 Premiership side.

It is great to see yet another former London Scot making the step up to the Premiership.

Good luck Atko, everyone at London Scottish will be cheering you on!
