Prop forward Jordan Brodley has signed for London Scottish and has already joined the squad for pre-season as they prepare for the 2018/19 Greene King IPA Championship season.

Brodley, a former Jersey Red, will join an impressive Exile front row with Dino Waldren, Phil Cringle and Jonny Harris all staying for another year at The Athletic Ground as well as Richard Palframan who joined from London Irish.

Brodley studied for four years at Bristol University achieving his Masters degree in Management. During his time at the red brick university, he represented Bristol Rugby in the A-league and was selected twice for England Students.

The former Jersey Reds player was looking forward to pulling on the tartan & blue strip and playing for the famous London Scottish. “I’m delighted to have signed for London Scottish and cannot wait to compete in the upcoming season,” Brodley said.

“I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in and growing as a player and a person, while representing the club whose lengthy and illustrious history speaks for itself.”

The loosehead prop came to the club’s training facilities at The Lensbury at the end of last season and knew straight away then that he wanted to play for the Exiles.

Director of Rugby Dave Morris was pleased that he had been able to bring in a player of Jordan’s potential.

“Jordan came in for a week’s trial at the end of last season. He is very strong, has a great mentality towards the scrum and is technically very knowledgeable.”

Morris continued, “the competition for places at prop will be fierce which will build a great scrum mentality within the whole pack.”

Morris also alluded to Jordan’s ambitions outside of the rugby field. Something London Scottish feel very strongly about, considering their business connections in London.

Director of Rugby Morris said, “I also liked Jordan’s pro-activeness away from the rugby field to develop himself which is very aligned to our culture. It’s also a massive bonus that Jordan is Scottish qualified after being part of the extended Scotland Under 20 set up a few years ago.”
