London Scottish are happy to confirm that scrum half Grayson Hart will join the club for the 2018/19 season.

Grayson joins the club from Aviva Premiership side Worcester Warriors having previously began the season with Ealing Trailfinders. Hart was signed by the Warriors back in March as cover for injuries to Worcester’s other scrum halves.

Hart who is originally from New Zealand but has represented Scotland on the International stage on three occasions. He qualifies for Scotland through his Grandmother who was born in Glasgow. He was selected for Scotland’s Summer Tour back in 2014 and made his International debut against Canada, coming off the bench.

Director of Rugby Dave Morris is thrilled to add the twenty-nine year old International scrum half to his squad for 2018/19. “We are delighted to welcome Grayson to London Scottish. Grayson will bring considerable top-level experience in a crucial game management position. We are very proud to have signed a Senior Scottish International. I think Grayson’s signing is an excellent fit for both for himself and London Scottish. Grayson is passionate about developing his work off the field which fits in to our philosophy of developing rugby, developing employability and developing people. Grayson and his wife are settled in London and we look forward to welcoming them in to the London Scottish family.”

Hart has immense rugby experience having represented some of the most recognisable clubs in World Rugby. Hart’s previous sides include, the Waratahs, based in Sydney, Australia, the Auckland Blues in New Zealand and most recently Edinburgh and Glasgow, north of the border. This will be vital for the development of the Exiles’ squad for the upcoming Greene King IPA Championship campaign.

Hart was pleased to have committed to a season at The Athletic Ground with the Exiles. “I’m very excited to be joining London Scottish. After meeting with Dave and Nic Rouse, it was obvious that not only do they want to continue creating a strong rugby team but they are also interested in helping the players evolve off the field. This was very refreshing to see.”

Hart continued to say, “my hope is to learn and grow as a player and a person and bring something to the team. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this club.”

Not only does Hart boast impressive International experience in the 15-aside game but also in the shortened 7-aside format. He played for Scotland 7s in Hong Kong, Singapore and at London 7s back in 2017. He was a key member of the side who won London 7s beating hosts England in a dramatic final.

6ft 1” Hart will look to cement himself as the first choice scrum half this season and look to help Scottish build on their transitional 2017/18 campaign.
