The fly half, who is also very comfortable at inside centre will arrive at The Athletic Ground ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Jennings is looking forward to the challenges that lay ahead with the Scots in the Greene King IPA Championship. “I am delighted to have signed for Scottish next season. It has been a frustrating couple of seasons at Bath so I can’t wait to get stuck in at Scottish and contribute in a successful team. Having spoken to Dave Morris and Nic Rouse on a few occasions, the ambition of the club for the coming season is something I’m really looking forward to being a part of.”

The twenty-two year old is a product of the Bath Academy and has been with them since he left school. Jennings was educated at Bryanston School in Dorset where England Internationals Ollie Devoto and Charlie Ewels also attended.

Back in 2015, Jennings was part of England’s Under 20 World Cup winning side in New Zealand, beating the hosts in the final. He made nine appearances in total for the England age group, racking up 57 points. He was a key member of the World Cup winning squad alongside the likes of Ellis Genge, Sam Skinner and Nick Tompkins. He was pivotal in their semi final win over South Africa, scoring 13 points.

Jennings went on to make his Aviva Premiership debut against Harlequins in 2017, kicking the winning penalty in the match. This season he has struggled to get game time ahead of the likes of Freddie Burns, Rhys Priestland and Ben Tapuai so he will be looking to nail down a starting spot for the Scots next season and gain some much needed game time.

Director of Rugby Dave Morris was pleased to be welcoming a player in the calibre of Jennings to The Athletic Ground. “We are thrilled to add someone with the proven quality of Rory to our squad for next season. He is a very good ball player who takes the ball to the line exceptionally well. He has experience from the top level with Bath and the England age groups and his versatility of being able to comfortably play fly half and in the centres is something that will be vital for us next year. I am already looking forward to getting him in and seeing how we can help him develop as a player.”

Jennings is the second landmark signing London Scottish have made ahead of next season, after Mark Bright was announced last week.
