London Scottish is delighted to announce that scrum-half Jamie Stevenson will rejoin the club for the 16/17 season after a year in the Aviva Premiership with Wasps.

The 23-year-old has made six appearances for Wasps so far this season including a try in their win over Northampton Saints.

Stevenson first signed for Scottish in 2011 from Westcombe Park and made a total of 49 first-team appearances in his first spell with the club.

The scrum-half broke into the First XV during the 2012/13 season, and was called up to the Scotland A squad to face the England Saxons the following year.

His form in the 2014/15 campaign saw him play in 20 matches, and later secure the Players' Player of the Year award at the Club's End of Season dinner.

Stevenson is excited to be back at the Athletic Ground. “With limited chances this season it’s exciting to be heading back to Scottish. I spoke with Sean Lineen, and the club have big ambitions and a clear vision going forward so I look forward to another spell in Richmond.”

He added: “I’ve learnt so much from the past year and just want to thank Wasps for what was an unbelievable opportunity.”

Head Coach Peter Richards is looking forward to having Stevenson available again. “Last season he was one of our standout players so it will be great to have Jamie back in our squad.”

I’m sure he gained plenty of experience from his time with Wasps and he will arrive back here with more to transfer to our side.”
