HRH Princess Anne and Lord Coe support Deutsche Bank Schools Six Nations

HRH Princess Anne, the Royal Patron of London Scottish Football Club, and Lord Coe, British Olympic Association chairman, were honorary guests at the fourth annual Deutsche Bank Schools Six Nations tournament at Richmond Athletic Ground last weekend.

The ground-breaking, invitation-only tournament hosted by London Scottish and title sponsor Deutsche Bank, aims to showcase some of the best emerging rugby talent from schools across Europe.

HRH Princess Anne and Lord Coe were introduced to the coaches and captains of all teams during a ceremony on Friday before the two-day tournament kicked-off.

After a thrilling weekend’s action The Campion School secured the 2014 Deutsche Bank Schools Six Nations title, beating Rydal Penrhos in Saturday’s final.

Deutsche Bank has entered into a three year extension of its sponsorship deal with London Scottish that will run through to the end of the 2016 season. Both Deutsche Bank and London Scottish share the common goal of focussing on youth development and helping young people to fulfil their potential by developing confidence and aspirations.

Deutsche Bank recently launched its new UK corporate citizenship programme, Born to Be, which is committed to tackling the critical issue of youth unemployment. The Bank aims to reach over 160,000 young people in the UK through Born to Be over the next four years. Under the Born to Be programme Deutsche Bank and London Scottish also run Game Changers, an annual initiative using rugby as a vehicle to change young people's behaviour through a comprehensive sports and education programme.
