Bright has played 118 games for 'Ruth, and finished last season with 19 tries. He also holds the distinction of having been named in the National League 1 team of the season a record 5 times.

Tony Copsey, CEO of London Scottish said “I am absolutely delighted that today we are able to formally announce the double signings of Aberdeen Asset Management and Mark Bright. To attract a company of Aberdeen Asset Management’s statue to sponsor the club is fantastic and we look forward to working with them over the coming years. Certainly this sponsorship has not only allowed us to sign an exciting talent in Mark and strengthen the squad for what will be a challenging year in the Championship, but also it allows us to invest in our infrastructure. This is absolutely key to our desire to maintain our position at the top of English Rugby, whilst taking an active role in developing young Scottish talent.”

Aberdeen Asset Management has been a keen supporter of Scottish rugby for over three years, since taking up title sponsorship of Edinburgh Rugby Club in 2008. Sponsorship of London Scottish further demonstrates the company’s commitment to rugby.

Martin Gilbert, Chief Executive of Aberdeen Asset Management, said “We are proud to be sponsoring London Scottish Rugby Club. We are dedicated to supporting rugby in Scotland and this partnership is a superb way to demonstrate our commitment to the sport south of the border as well. We look forward to working with London Scottish to continue to develop the Club and its rugby talent.”

Bright is currently in his native New Zealand playing for the Tasman Makos in the ITM Cup. Upon signing for Scottish, he said: “I've always had an itch to play in the Championship and I can't wait to get out there and have a crack. My aim is to be really consistent throughout the season and play well in all the games I get an opportunity to play. I'm really excited about this new opportunity, and my family and I are relishing a fresh challenge and living in a great city like London. My family and I had a really good time in Cornwall and I really appreciate all the support Redruth have provided me over the last five years.”

London Scottish Head Coach Simon Amor was overjoyed to get Bright's signature: “He has arguably been the outstanding player in National League 1 for the past 5 years. Teams have been trying to get Mark out of Cornwall for a long time, so we are delighted to be the ones to sign him. He is a dynamic, fast and abrasive player who will bring a great deal of attacking threat to our squad for the upcoming season.”
