In front of over 2000 supporters, the largest home crowd of the season, London Scottish lost 22 - 29 against their near neighbours London Welsh in the oldest Exiles fixture in the world. A much improved Scottish performance from their previous outing, as they matched their opponents in a fiercely contested match.

London Scottish lost out 6 -21 against a very physical Nottingham outfit, in a match which was a forwards dominated game. The game was littered with handling and kicking errors by both sides who were attempting to gain the upper hand. The game was not finally settled until the closing stages, when Nottingham scored a penalty to put the match beyond Scottish.

On Sunday London Scottish returns to league action with a tasty fixture at home against Nottingham Rugby. This match is the penultimate home league fixture of the regular season and Scottish will be looking to bounce back after their loss at Bedford. Nottingham were involved in the British & Irish Cup Quarter-Finals last weekend and lost heavily away at Cornish Pirates 33 -3.

Following Saturday's defeat to Bedford Blues, it now looks almost certain that Scottish will be a member of the bottom four at the end of the season. Unlike National League 1, promotion and relegation from the Championship are not purely dependent on league position. Instead, after the final round of league fixtures, the Championship divides into two play-off pools.

On a sunny, but crisp day at Goldington Road London Scottish were blown away in the first half of this match as Bedford ran in 4 tries, with Scottish being reduced to 13 players in the closing stages of the half. Scottish raised their game in the second half, but could not prevent the Blues running in three further tries.
