First I would like to thank all the supporters for their help and support on the Esher game. I realise that it was not the result we wanted and showed we have some learning and experience to gain to compete at this level with a consistency of performance.

Well if you are reading this, then the plans to clear the snow last Thursday with the help of club volunteers has worked. I must thank all the people who have worked madly over the last four days to get this game on.

After the frustration of having the Blackheath game postponed. The Christmas break provided a good time to reflect on the first half of the season.

The boys battled for the win against Newbury. Difficult conditions and an energised Newbury team who wanted to take the game to us.

As stated in the round up last week, what a great day at Redruth. The team showed real character to come back from 10 nil at half time, especially in those conditions.

These have been two very different challenges in the last fortnight. Wharfedale came to us unbeaten and we produced one of our best performances of the season.

First I would like to thank all the supporters that travelled to Blaydon last weekend. To see so many on the side line was unbelievable and really gave the side a lift. To have such positive support is such a strong element to the boys performing, so thank you.

First a huge thank you to all the supporters that travelled to Esher and gave the team such fantastic support. I think you felt as much pain as all the players coaches and staff. Tough defeat to take but one we must get stronger from.

Two games in and the challenge of the new National 1 league is apparent. We always knew that the first 4 games would be tough and a steep learning curve for players and coach's.

After a long but productive preseason the new National One League now starts. The challenge this season will be a huge one. There are so many more areas to prepare for in order to set ourselves up to succeed.

First of all I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year, I didn't think I would be saying this in my match notes for this game! But we are all aware of the damage the British weather has taken its toll on the pitches this month.

Not for the first time, we have drawn our co tenants Richmond in the cup. Our league encounter back on the 27th September was a hard thought game between what looked like two very anxious teams.

Back to League competition this week after a trip to Bristol in the Cup where we progressed to the next round beating St Mary's 36 - 22.

Another week sees another local derby. This is what National league rugby is all about. You get one hard game out of the way knowing the following week is going to be even harder. This is certainly the case this week. Park have shown some good form in their last two games and will be looking to carry that form on in today's game.

Firstly I would like to welcome all the members and supporters from Worthing RFC back to the Athletic ground. Our games in London 1 were always great spectacles and close thought games, I'm sure today's game will be very similar (not to close though).
