I'd like to offer a warm welcome to all here today, especially those who have made the trek from the south west.

I think I can say on behalf of the team that it's good to be back on home turf. We've had 2 very tricky away trips to Blackheath and Wharfedale, both teams were in form and we certainly got a run for our money.

I think it's fair to say it's been a mixed couple of weeks for us a squad. Having put so much into the Esher fixture it was devastating to lose in the manner we did. We didn't help ourselves, we were too slow out the blocks and gifting Esher a 17-0 lead after 15 minutes was rugby suicide. It was an even tougher pill to swallow given some of the rugby we played. We challenged them upfront and our backline tore them apart for the majority of the game. Alas, credit where it's due, they were a physical team who were dominated the breakdown and gave us a wall to look at for much of the afternoon.

I'd like to start by offering a warm welcome to everyone here this afternoon. There's no hiding from the fact that this has been billed as the game of season, and rightly so.

After a couple of weeks without rugby it is great to start 2010 with a home match against Cambridge. This match offers us a great opportunity to consolidate our position in the league and gain revenge over one of our closest rivals.

So we've now won 9 straight games but the changing room after the game still reeks of frustration. We all know we should be performing better. We are certainly creating the chances but we are not as clinical we've been in previous encounters;

May I start by offering a warm welcome to everyone here today; I hope you all managed to keep yourselves busy last weekend without a London Scottish game to watch!

I'd like to start by offering a warm welcome to all here today. I'm sure it will be considerably warmer than the conditions we faced down in Redruth last Saturday!

Another two weeks have gone by and two more bonus point wins are in the bag. Although the emphatic 93-0 victory over Manchester looks the more impressive on paper it was the bonus point victory over previous table toppers Wharfedale that would have got the league talking.

The last 2 weeks have seen us take further steps in the right direction. The win against Nuneaton was important following the harsh loss at Esher, but more importantly was Saturday's win against Blaydon.

So frustratingly we find ourselves mid table after four games. Some people may have seen this as a reasonable start to the season given we have gone up a league and faced arguably the toughest opponents in the division straight off the bat, but we don't feel that way at all I assure you.

We always knew the first four games of this season were going to be very tough and the first 2 certainly haven't let us down.

London Scottish captain Gary Trueman says that the team are eager to get back into action after a six-week period in which the weather, fixture clashes and the festive season have limited the club to just two competitive fixtures - and both of those on the same afternoon.

First and foremost I would like to wish everyone a belated Happy New Year. It feels like an age since we last ran out at the Athletic Ground and I trust that you are all looking forward to this afternoon's fixture as much as we are.
