It has been a frustrating three weeks from a training perspective. Limited access to the pitches has hindered preparation and development for all teams. Notably the Core skills Club which has been waiting on tender hooks for the last 4 Mondays waiting for the opportunity to train. We hope that we will be able to start Next Monday so the stars of the future can develop. And talking of the Stars of the future, the first Elite Academy selection night we hope can take part next Wednesday. Want to thank the Coaches who have been proactive in nominating players from the Club age group teams and I am really looking forward to working with these potential first team players. Our aim is to grow the Elite Academy to 30 players by the end of next season.
With the adverse weather conditions and limited opportunities to get on the pitches we will start to look at Sessions in doors looking at Player Development through analysis. Here I must thank Steljes, the Club Title Sponsor who have provided equipment like Podium and interactive blue tooth boards which takes the possibilities of development through analysis to a completely different level. Through their Smart board technology we can have 6 players interacting with the video footage, hence taking the player centered development to the Elite Level. I am like a kid in a sweet shop. Martin and Nigel I thank you for all your support and buying into the vision.
