For those that travelled south I hope your journey back was as enjoyable and entertaining!!!!............Andy thank you!
As with the supporters travelling up to Blaydon, it is the little things that really help. Again huge thanks to Ross and Dean for battling up to Newcastle on Friday night so the kit was ready and the players personal prep catered for on their arrival and to John Scott and GLH for helping the team with transport for the advance party.
It was certainly good to a win on the road under our belts, and i must thank the players for being so professional in their attitude in dealing with the travel and the performance on the pitch, but we must refocus today for the challenge Wharfedale bring. Deservedly at the top of the table with 6 wins.
In each of the program notes i explain some of the initiatives for the One Club process. The Masterclass and Coach the Coach process have been touched on. Working in partnership with the Coach the Coach process is the Craft of Coaching initiative. This is a Coaching website built on iWeb that age group coaches can go onto to look at Drills, the core skills curriculum, the challenge convention program, goal setting and selection criteria and video footage of the Gold squad training, which brings the core skills curriculum to life. It's aim like the Coach the Coach forums is to act as a catalyst for ideas. So coaches can develop their craft and plan meaningful sessions that benefit them as coaches and their players on a personal and team development aspect.
For those that came down to the ground on Monday, i think you will agree that the game v Oxford Uni was a good one. Oxford came out Victors 17 - 12. It is great that we have been able to play against Oxford Uni again after so many years, and rebuild the once strong relationship between the 2 clubs.
