Congratulations to the second team that travelled to Wales and beat Glamorgan Wanderers convincingly. The strength and the success of the 2's is vital. The performances, standards and expectations set by the players and the detail of match reports makes sure that all players are set up to succeed and that the games played are meaningful in the selection process. Simply the challenge is to create an environment where players can move into the 1st team seamlessly.
As stated in my last match day notes I wanted to take each opportunity to inform you of what is in place regarding the One Club ethos. Last game touched on the Master class prior to each home game. This is followed up with on a Wednesday evening once a month a Coach the Coach forum. All age group coaches, managers and parents are invited to attend. The aim of the evening is to share coaching ideas. Explore ways we can improve our craft. Learn from other coaches and brain storm new coaching initiatives. I can also use this time to go through core skills curriculum and any other coaching presentations I think would be of interest.
I have to thank our main sponsor Steljes as they have very kindly provided some new smart board equipment which is going to blow the coaches minds!
To Nigel and Martin thank you I am still smiling from my training day with you and can't wait to get the new technology into action across the club.
