We always knew the first four games of this season were going to be very tough and the first 2 certainly haven't let us down.
We've learnt more about ourselves from these fixtures than we did from all of last season's games. We know we can't switch off for a second; we lapsed in concentration for 10 minutes against Sedgley and conceded 2 tries which could have cost us the game.

We must cherish the ball; we still have one of the best attacks in the league - 3 tries away at Cambridge is the most they have had put on them at home in over a year. The flip side of that is that they scored 4 breakaway tries off our mistakes on Saturday. In this league, mistakes are punished.

The most frustrating thing from Saturday isn't that we lost, I don't mind losing if I feel we were beaten by a better team, it's that it felt like we gave them the game. They created nothing (bar 2 well executed lineout drives) but still scored a plethora of tries off our mistakes. The good thing is we can put all this right, our baptism into this league is over, we now know what to expect and are ready to deliver.

We welcome Launceston today who are another of the front runners to won the league. It promises to be an exciting game as they too like to play expansive rugby. They will need to be at their best though, whilst we may have lost our first league game in over a year we still haven't lost at home, a record we're hell bent on keeping.
