London Scottish FC : Coach's Notes

Not for the first time, we have drawn our co tenants Richmond in the cup. Our league encounter back on the 27th September was a hard thought game between what looked like two very anxious teams.

Last Match

Since that game we have kept up our undefeated run in the League, whereas Richmond have had a few inconsistent performances relegating them to 10th in the league from 7th when we played them on the 27th. This, however has no bearing on today's cup game and I'm sure Geoff's team will be working very hard to improve their performance.

As far as Scottish is concerned, I am looking forward to seeing a few players coming back from injuries and a few that have been there or there abouts in 1XV selection take their opportunities.

As I keep on saying, I am extremely happy with the squad we have and it is this that has put us at the top of the tree after 10 league games. It’s fantastic to have players such as Callum Grant and Matt Heeks (Scotland U21 Squad) stepping up for Simon Amor and Owen Walbeoff. Alex Karonias taking over from Ian Fullerton. Duncan Hayward and Matt Fitzgerald returning from injuries to play their first starts in a 1XV game this season (both were key 1st team players last season). We have hopefully had the worse of our season in terms of injuries and touch wood we will keep on getting stronger…
