Firstly I would like to welcome all the members and supporters from Worthing RFC back to the Athletic ground. Our games in London 1 were always great spectacles and close thought games, I'm sure today's game will be very similar (not to close though).
Well the lads are fully recovered after last weeks inductions for all the new players on there 1st away coach trip. We had a good win last week away from home against a very much improved B & A side, who I'm confident will finish high up in the league this season. We applied everything we worked on last week in training and started the game very strongly, allowing B & A to enter our own half on only a few occasions in the first half. Ultimately the pressure took its toll and we scored 3 excellent manufactured tries, all finished off by Roman Potriowski. The lessons that we learnt from last week were to not to underestimate the opposition and to carrying on playing to our strengths for the full 80 + mins. This will certainly be the focus for today's game.
Being a relatively new team with 10 new players in the 1st team, we are winning with 5/6 out of 10 performances. In the last 2 games we have shown improvement as players, and combinations get used to one another. If we carrying on in this vein, it won't be long until we really show a team what we are capable off.
