Elkinson: "Already in three days, the difference is clear to see. From a fitness point of view, we tested two weeks ago, and we are already ahead of where we were at the end of last summer."
The players, both old and new, are keen to impress and Elkinson has already seen a competitive edge in training.
"You can see there's some competition going on already, particularly between Colin Quigley and Aaron Liffchak who are both trying to impress Alex Codling in the fitness trials."
For the players, despite the tough sessions, it has been good to get back into training and getting to know the new faces. Josh Brown is looking forward to getting the new season underway.
Brown: "I haven't done that much running for a long time so the lungs are feeling it. We had a heavy weights session, lower body, and a good stretch session this morning, but we'll get put through it again later, I can feel it already."
Brown on the new players: "It's good to get to know them. We've got a strong squad, a lot of competition, and we will work hard together."
