The support we have had both home and away this season has been amazing, even on the back of some really tough defeats - last week at Tynedale probably leads the charge on that front… It's been a strange couple of months for us a team and we have found out a lot about ourselves. I have no doubt it's been noticeable from the viewpoint of a supporter as it has been as a player that we haven't been performing to the standards we set ourselves in the first half of the season, and we are determined to get that form back for the final 2 games of the campaign.
It's important we remember what we have achieved so far this season, it's been a fantastic year as the newly promoted team and we thoroughly deserve to be in second place. This week we have discussed at length what has made us a successful team, how we played to get here and re-focusing ourselves for what will no doubt be an intense derby today against Blackheath.
Blackheath are a much better team than their league position suggests, we know this better than anyone having only won by a point in the away fixture. If winning a derby was the only thing at stake today it would be enough, add to that their delicate position at the lower end of the league and you can be sure they will come here to throw the kitchen sink at us. The one thing I do know is that we are smarting from last week and we will be putting our heart and souls on the pitch to make sure we finish our last home game with a win.
