I think I can say on behalf of the team that it's good to be back on home turf. We've had 2 very tricky away trips to Blackheath and Wharfedale, both teams were in form and we certainly got a run for our money.
In a season that crams in over 30 games things don't always go your own way, and, as frustrating as it is, you don't always perform to the best of your ability. I think that over the last few weeks we haven't got out of fourth gear yet we have won games that we could have very easily lost. I firmly believe it's a mark of a strong team that show they can win at all costs - Leicester have done it for years and that's why they're one of the best teams around. When we were down to 14 men for the majority of the game at Wharfedale it would have been very easy to implode, instead we became tighter and rallied to an excellent victory.
This week we welcome Manchester, who despite their league position are a tough outfit. I was really impressed with them when we played them last year, they are clearly facing tough times off the pitch yet their passion and never say die attitude on it earnt my respect. They will come down here with nothing to lose and I expect them to have a real crack at us. I hope you all enjoy the game and I hope to be celebrating a London Scottish victory with you in the bar afterwards!
