.London Scottish was founded on Wednesday 10th April 1878 at Mackay's Tavern, 3 Water Lane, Ludgate Hill. Since this date there's been a journey which has made it one of the most historic and renowned clubs in the world. London Scottish has had more than 200 internationals come through its ranks with no less than four British and Irish Lions Captains, the same number as Leicester Tigers. Many of these icons are still seen at the ground to this day.
After being forced into administration in 1999 following the original creation of the Premiership, the club has been on the long climb up through the leagues. The recent promotion into the championship, making it seven in just ten years, marked another milestone and a return once more to mainstream rugby.
