London Scottish is now into its 5th Year of coaching rugby in the local community. We hope you take a few minutes to read about what we are doing, the fantastic results we are seeing and how we are achieving them.

Core Aims of the Community Programme

Our core aim is to engage, inspire and develop people of all ages and from all backgrounds by promoting activity and healthy life style in and around our sport.

How we deliver

We do this by delivering structured schemes and rugby related activities as well as offering expert coaching support. Everything from coaching sessions in schools, to specifically designed development programmes, to road shows and rugby camps, to match day experiences and player visits, to promoting access to our thriving junior section.

Results

The results we have seen so far have been hugely successful. We aim to deliver services that our partners can rely upon and trust. All of our coaches are fully qualified through RFU courses and CRB checked. London Scottish was of course formed as an exile club, and whilst being very professional, we also aim to keep that hospitable and family feel in everything we do. Everybody from our director of rugby, to our 1st XV players (who deliver 80% of all our coaching), to our junior coaches play active roles in the scheme that we have built...no doubt some of the key reasons why our scheme is seeing such success. We are involved with schools and partnerships throughout Central and West London.

With the great English weather up to its usual tricks, there was a fear that the London Scottish's top class rugby camps, due this week, would be in danger of being called off.

Player Sponsorship is again available this season at a cost of £300. Members of the 1878 Club will have access to sponsorship at a reduced rate of £250.

With the season opener against Blackheath now just over three weeks away, London Scottish are set to play their opening two pre-season games this weekend, both in Scotland.
