The Club

James Brown is confirmed as Backs/Attack coach who will remain part of the playing squad has developed his coaching credentials over the past couple of seasons.

Chris Lloyd comes in as Forwards Coach on a part time basis. Formally of Whitgift School he is currently Assistant Academy Manager at London Wasps - Lloyd comes from a strong coaching background and works with the Wasps senior squad on a regular basis.

Owen Scrimgeour steps up from the 2nd XV coaching team to take on a very much more involved role within the current set up as senior squad forward's coach. Scrimgeour brings a wealth of experience from a playing and coaching perspective. The former full back and wing who played Sevens for New Zealand, gained a Blue for Cambridge in position in the back row. He came across Simon Amor earlier in Simon's playing career as former coach of Cambridge University.

Lee Cholewa - current London Scottish player and Chris Wright last year's second team coach finish the Senior Squad coaching team. Wright becoming second team head coach and Cholewa second team player/backs coach.

The back room support teams sees no real change with Colin McIntyre, Ross McGregor, and Simon Devane working again on the team management and logistics.

Chris Newman becomes lead Clinician and Head Physio closely supported in the medical team by Doctors Stephen Chew and Polly Baker. Dean Sutton continues as lead strength and conditioner, supported on a part-time basis by Ian Taplin who will continue his role working with London Wasps Academy.

Amor said " I am delighted with the coaches we have working with the senior squad this season who can build on the good work from both Mark Ella and of course Brett Taylor last year. We have been able to retain James Brown, Owen Scrimgeour and Chris Wright from last season providing continuity and have been very fortunate to add Chris Lloyd from Wasps Academy who will lead the forward coaching to the senior squad. Our coaching structure will be more fluid than last year and I am pleased that Lee Cholewa, who has played at the club for a number of years, has agreed to a player/coach role with our second team and demonstrates the clubs desire to promote from within and while supporting the development of coaches and support staff as well as players.
